Doug Fir much softer

I ordered a doug fir for my husband and a cork for myself. Was disappointed to find mine a little itchy and liked the doug fir much better. I thought I was supporting US manufacturing but the tag shows that it was made in China, I'm guessing the logo is slapped on in the US only.
